Punt on the River Avon where you are gently transported
on a small boat with boatman using a long pole
that propels the punt. The main landing stage
is at Worcester Boulevard bridge close to Cathedral

Skiing
Mount Hutt (64 3 308 5074) is the closest major
ski field and is about an hour from Christchurch.
During the season shuttle buses leave each day
for the ski fields. There are a number of other
smaller ski filed on the road to Arthur’s
Pass.

Walking
Christchurch has lots of walking trails both around
the city and in the Port Hills. The high mountains
